IN A NEW HOUSE AND WITH 30 PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES, FITE 2007 GOT STARTED
FITE will be open until Sunday, September 9, in the new Simón Bolívar Convention and Exposition Center.
Yesterday, the largest tourism meeting of the Southern Pacific Coast was kicked off. The host country, Ecuador, received more than 600 international visitors, including the press and tourist destination “hunters.” This number also includes more than 318 presenters from more than 16 countries who are here to offer tourism-related options to those who attend the fair. The great number of visitors can be attributed to the wealth of excellent options that the country offers for tourists.
This fair is in its fifth edition, and is considered to be the largest tourism-related event in the country and one of the biggest in the Andean Region. This time around, delegations from Germany and Panama have come to FITE for the first time to show what they have to offer to the public, along with professionals from the national guild who are also participating for the first time.
At FITE, there is also space for the country’s 22 provinces as well as entrepreneurs who work in the tourism sector who are interested in showing their products and services to the world in an environment that is festive and open to cultural exchange. The fair will last until Sunday, September 9th.
Today, the business meetings will end and FITE will be open to the public from 3:00 P.M. on. At this time, there will be a folklore program. Tickets for this event will cost 2 dollars for adults and 1 dollar for children, elderly and handicapped people.
